Okay forensic specialists! What happened here?
I cam downstairs from putting Helen down from her nap and found:
kitchen chair pushed up to the counter
fruit bowl pulled to the edge of the counter
bite marks in an orange (right through the peel) and a banana (ditto)
kitchen towel on the floor with bits of orange and banana on it
small boy with bits of orange and banana on his person, and an impish sly grin

I love watching CSI and I know I have learned now to look at the evidence and deduce correctly. So, here is what happened: George's monkey climbed up on the chair and ate the fruit. Then he framed my little boy. :)
